Tizól was a trombone player, so how appropriate to have a trombone feature at the start. Later, the tuba and trombone trade off: tuba plays melody while trombone carries the bass line. Really fun arrangement, which we are pairing with “Perdido,” Tizol’s other famous tune, and we’ll likely use it as a closer. Not difficult for our group, but shows off our tone and low brass soloists.
