About Jesper :Educated at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and later in Paris, Chicago og Copenhagen and has been chosen for among others Jeunesse Musical World Orchestra, European Youth Orchestra and World Philharmonic.

Jesper Juul had his debut from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1998 and since 1996 he has held the position as Principal Trombone in The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, along side of which he is a permanent member of Athelas-Sinfonietta of Copenhagen.

Jesper has participated in quite a few soloist competitions and has won or been a pricewinner at each one. Among others ”ARD-München”, ”CIEM-Geneve”, Nordisk Solistbienale , ”Juventus-France”, ”TIJI-European Broadcast Union”.

During the season 2000/2001 Jesper Juul was appointed "Classical Musician of the Year" at The Danish Broadcasting Cooperation.Jesper Juul has had solo performances with several orchestras, both at home and abroad. Among others The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Südwestrundfunk Sinfonie-orchester, Suisse Romande, Bayerisher Rundfunk, München, Aarhus Symfoniorkester, Trondheim Symfoniorkester, Athelas Sinfonietta.

Jesper has been particularly active when it comes to the creation of new danish trombone literature, and has already given a considerable amount of first performances within different instrumental combinations.As a trombone solist Jesper Juul has recorded the CD "T-Bone Concerto" with Danish Concert Band and "Romantic Trombone Concertos" with Danish Broadcasting Cooperation/The National Danish Symphony Orchestra. Yet another two recordings are on their way: A CD with Danish music for trombone and organ with Jakob Lorentzen, the organist of Holmens Church, and a CD with popular music for trombone and brass ensemble in cooperation with the Prince's Life Guard Band.

Jesper Juul has been increasingly more active as a conductor, and since he became a pricewinner at The European Conductors Competition in Birmingham 2000 he has had several exciting conducting engagements, for instance at The National Danish Chamber Orchestra, Athelas, The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, South Jutland Symphony Orchestra, Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Copenhagen Philharmonic, Odense Symphony Orchestra, The Jutland Ensemble, Aarhus Sinfonietta and the Prince's Life Guard Band.In May 2003 Jesper Juul won ”The 2nd European Conductors Competition”, and was accepted in the conducting class at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, from where he graduated in the summer of 2007. In August 2003 Jesper was chosen as the Danish participant at a masterclass with Esa-Pekka Salonen.

2013 Jesper decided to make a change in his career - by accepting the position as Professor of the Trombone class in the Royal Danish Academy of Music, Denmark.
