"The Emperor´s Fanfare" by Antonio Soler (1729-1783) - arranged for Brass Sextett & Timpani by Stig Sønderriis.

Antonio Soler was a Spanish composer who studied with Domenico Scarlatti. Soler served most of his life in monasteries, and at El Escorial — with its several organs — he composed his six concertos for two organs. E Power Biggs recorded these works in the 1960s and arranged “The Emperor’s Fanfare” from the Sixth Concerto for his recording made at Toledo Cathedral, Historic Organs of Spain. Stig Sønderriis has now arranged "The Emperor´s Fanfare" for Brass Sextett, and he has done a marvellous job. The arrangement was used by the Danish Royal Life Guard Orchestra for the Danish Crown Prince Frederik´s wedding in 2004.
