Adventure Suite is a three movement suite for Brass Quintet in a medium-difficult playability range. The movement titles (Setting Forth, Starlight and The Forest) suggest possible adventure situations which players and listeners might use their imagination. The melodies are based on three notes comprising an ascending forth followed by a tritone. The figure is used to begin an idea, then often leads in other directions. In order to discover what directions, the players must set forth on this Adventure!
