AVE VERUM CORPUS

Used for prelude last Sunday AM. Lies very well on C trumpet and perfect for the darkness of my Monke rotary. Nice accompaniment with natural rise and fall of phrases. Got an email with compliments from the Pastor that afternoon. Nice arrangement of a simple but moving piece.

Ave Verum Corpus - by W.A. Mozart (1756-1791) - Arranged for Trumpet and Organ by Brian Bindner.

Ave verum corpus is a short Eucharistic hymn that has been set to music by various composers. It dates from the 14th century and has been attributed to Popes Innocent III, and Innocent IV. The hymn's title means "Hail, true body", and is based on a poem deriving from a 14th-century manuscript from the Abbey of Reichenau, Lake Constance. This piece is perfect for a church service, weather it´s a wedding ceremony, or a sunday mass service.
