Bryllup paa Himmelpinden ( Arrival of the wedding guests ) by Jakob Gade - arranged for Brass Ensemble by Lars M.B. Olsen.
Jakob Gade made him self immensely popular by writing his "Tango Jalousie", heard by Millions of people and played in countless elevators. In 1921, 4 years before he wrote his Tango, he composed a suite called "Bryllup paa Himmelpinden" - inspired by the nature and culture around his hometown Vejle in Denmark. The suite consist of 4 movements, called:
- Arrival of the guests
- Wedding march on the way to church
- The party
- Finale
Lars M.B. Olsen is a brilliant arranger, and has portrayed Mr. Gade´s suite in the very best manner. Please have a listen below.
