Italian Algiers Overture - Rossini - arranged for Brass Quartet by Scott Ramsey.
Rossini wrote L'italiana in Algeri when he was 21. The overture is widely recorded and performed today, known for its distinct opening of slow, quiet staccato style playing, leading to a sudden loud burst of sound. Ramsey has done a marvelous job with this arrangement, though it has soe tricky technical places, it would be suitable for intermediate performers.
