An original cha-cha with extensive section interplay, solo sections to stretch out and a big shout chorus, this chart really cooks! Inspired by Jerome Kern’s classic Yesterdays, it takes that chord progression in a whole new direction with an alternating cool/hot Latin sensibility throughout. Unlike Kern’s Yesterdays this is definitely not a ballad! Scored for 5 saxes, 4 trumpets, 4 bones and full rhythm section. Advanced college/pro level.
