If the Bass Trombone is present in any Chamber Music Ensemble, it´s often in the company of other Brass instruments, but in this piece, the Bass Trombone has adapted the Cello´s part in the classic piano-trio form.The piece is build upon the very catchy danish folk tune MIKKEL THE FOX, and consist of a number of variations where the Bass Trombone is presented in a very flattering way, in the company of the Violin and Piano.
