Concerto Scandinavia for 3 Trombones and Brass Band, by Mogens Andresen and Daniel Drage.
Concerto Scandinavia is a so-called ”Concerto Grosso”, where a smaller group plays up to the Orchestra. In this case the smaller group consist of 2 tenor Trombones and a Bass Trombone, and the Orchestra is a Brass Band. The 3 soloists takes turns playing either solos or together with their group. The movements are made up from a tune from each Scandinavian country, and they all has their own special Nordic sound. The 3 melodies are:
- – A Swedish hymn
- – A Norwegian love song
- – A Danish satirical song
