Mendelssohn, Felix – Two Sacred Choruses for nine part (9) Brass Choir.
Two beautiful Choruses by transcribed by Seattle Symphony Trumpeter, Geoffrey Bergler. The music is of intermediate level and have great sonorous qualities, wonderful for the middle of a Brass Ensemple concert. The first movement, Beati Mortui is slow and sustained and the second movement, Periti Autem is an Allegro movement more in a declamatory style.
Instrumentation is for
- 3 Trumpets in Bb
- 2 Horns in F
- 2 Trombones in Tenor clef
- Bass Trombone in bass clef
- Tuba in bass clef
