Follia (RV63) by Antonio Vivaldi - arranged for Brass Quintet by Brian Bindner.

Danish National Symphony Orchestra´s Tuba player, Thomas Røisland - has always been a huge fan of Baroque music. Hours and hours of listening as a youngster - amongst those many pieces he listened to, was Vivaldi´s Follia - originally written for String Trio. After he joined the United Euro Brass Quintet, he asked me to arrange this piece for Brass Quintet, to be premiered on their Japan tour in the summer 2022. This piece is not easy by any means - string players has quite a lot of advantages when it comes to fast notes. But in the end, we managed to put together a playable arrangement, that turned out to be a true hit. Please do listen to the whole piece from the concert below.
