Quintet No. 4 for Woodwind - by Stig Sønderriis. - Inspired by the Danish painter P.S. Krøyer.

1. Movement : " Summer evening On Skagen Beach "
2 women is having a beach stroll after a dinner party with P.S: Krøyer. Only the imagination can tell their conversation subjects.

2. Movement : " Skt Hans Bonfire In Skagen "
This painting is one of the last paintings Krøyer made.
A bugle signal call the inhabitants to the beach. The children arrives first. The adults joins moments after.
Everyone is singing "Midsommervisen", composed by Holger Drachmann ( painting ) Amongst the other persons depicted, Marie Krøyer and her later companion Hugo Alfven
are present. After the breakup between Marie and P.S., Marie and Hugo decided to be together.

3. Sats : " Hip Hip Hurray "
Skagen was a meeting point for artist from all over the North.
Depicted is the meeting of some of these artist in Michael Anchers garden for a summer lunch. A very festive moment.
