Hymn a l´amour - by Edith Piaf and Marguerite Monnot - arranged for Brass Quintet by Stig Sønderriis.

Piaf first sang this song at the Cabaret Versailles in New York City in 1949. It was written to her lover and the love of her life, the French boxer, Marcel Cerdan, who  was killed in a plane crash on his way from Paris to New York to come to see her.

A timeless beautiful melancholic song, the way only the French can provide - and equally beautifully arranged by Stig Sønderriis.
