Ruby Tuesday - by Mick Jagger/Keith Richards - arranged for Academic Brass Ensemble by Mogens Andresen and Daniel Drage.
A very big part of the repertoire of the Rolling Stones, is written by the two members: Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. Unlike the many hard rock songs, RUBY TUESDAY is atypically, one of the Rolling Stones' very melodic hits.
Here the melody is adapted in the special style launched by the London Symphony Orchestra in the 1970s where rock tunes were given a "classical music" treatment under the brand name: CLASSIC ROCK. The piece is a pure show piece for a brass ensemble who wants to play pop music!
